New-hire learning

Onboarding awards for time-to-productivity, not welcome kits

AEA Awards has a dedicated onboarding category. Judges look for a dated time-to-productivity or quality-of-hire metric, manager involvement, and bilingual delivery where the work is Arabic-first. Nominations open 20 October 2026.

Graduate, contractor, and executive onboarding

Graduate programmes should show competence gates, not party photos. Contractor induction should show safety or quality incidents. Executive onboarding should show time-to-decision rights — a rare but valid story.

Frequently asked questions

Is onboarding the right category for a 12-month graduate scheme? +

Usually yes if the KPI is time-to-productivity. If the scheme redesigned the whole capability system, consider L&D strategy.

What metric do judges prefer? +

Time-to-productivity, error rates, safety incidents, or ramp-to-quota — with a baseline date.

When do nominations open? +

20 October 2026.

Can we include LMS completion? +

As activity context only. It will not carry the score.

Arabic onboarding packs? +

Submit in the language of the work. Quality must match English.
