Arabic and English

Awards for programmes that treat Arabic as a first-class design constraint

AEA Awards accepts English, Arabic, or bilingual entries and scores evidence quality — not language prestige. Programmes that reverse-translate Arabic at the end usually fail the design test. Nominations open 20 October 2026.

What bilingual excellence looks like to judges

Terminology locked with the business in both languages. Assessments written once, not machine-translated under deadline. Facilitators who can coach in the language of the work.

If only the marketing site is bilingual, the programme is not.

Frequently asked questions

Must the nomination itself be bilingual? +

No. Pick the language that holds the evidence. You may mix exhibits.

Does Arabic scoring get extra points? +

No extra points. Equal quality bars. Poor Arabic is scored as poor design.

Can we use machine translation? +

As a draft. A practitioner must review before learners or judges see it.

Which category fits bilingual design? +

Often learning-experience or content innovation — if bilingual craft is the story. Otherwise enter the programme category and treat language as implementation evidence.

When do nominations open? +
